Dr. Raphael BenLevi is the director of the Churchill Program for Security, Strategy, and Statesmanship of the Argaman Institute at The Tikvah Fund–Israel. He is also a postdoctoral fellow in international relations at the University of Haifa and has lectured at the IDF military command academy. He served for seven years as an officer in the IDF Intelligence Branch as an analyst of security-political affairs in Israeli Air Force headquarters, as managing officer for jet engine fleets. He has also been a visiting researcher at Georgetown University, and a research fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies and at the Kohelet Policy Forum. He is the author of the forthcoming book, Cultures of Counterproliferation: The Making of American and Israeli policy toward the Iranian Nuclear Program. He has published in The Texas National Security Review, Comparative Strategy, and Israel Affairs, and with the Hudson Institute, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, The Jerusalem Post, and Tikvah’s Hebrew language journal Hashiloach. He received his PhD from Bar-Ilan University, his MA from Reichman University in Herzliya, and a B.Sc. from the Technion.
