Hertog Forum for National Security

The Herut Center convened its first-ever Hertog Forum for National Security in February 2023.

Set in the luxury Setai Hotel in Tel Aviv-Yaffo, this private invitation-only gathering brought together senior American, Israeli, and Middle Eastern strategic, political, and business leaders to engage in high-level discussion, exploration, and debate about relations between Israel and the United States and the key security issues that face the two nations.

The conference was an exclusive off-the-record discussion about Israel’s national security needs and its vast strategic importance to the West; possible responses to the rise of China, Russia, and Iran; global energy crises and development; the still-untapped potential for economic growth through the Abraham Accords; pro-Israel support in the US; domestic Israeli security concerns; and the need for greater coordination between Israel and Western allies.

Co-sponsored with the Friedman Center for Peace Through Strength, the Hertog Forum empowered conservative leadership in Israel and abroad to shape a realist grand strategy for Israeli national security – one rooted in a frank appraisal of shared values, interests, and the US-Israel relationship.
